Lacoste sought to create a traffic-stopping, history-making visual at their new store opening on 5th Avenue in NYC when they suspended the largest shirt on a building for inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records. Applied Advertising created a custom clothing hanger to hang an oversized polo shirt for remarkable impact. In order to avoid damage to the building’s façade, our engineering team incorporated a compression system that allowed Lacoste to successfully bring their vision to life that would not require any additional labor and costs after the display was removed.
This installation created a visual “wow” on one of New York’s major thoroughfares. Thousands of pedestrians would stop daily to stand in awe and take photographs of this epic installation. Lacoste has officially been granted a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest polo shirt suspended on the outside of a building.
