Whistle Stop TourCategory: Case Study, Transit
The Whistle Stop Tour was created to honor the firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We were contracted to create a seamless installation for this mobile memorial that allowed the name of each courageous and selfless man and woman across the U.S. to be featured. This bus tour served as a traveling, visual dedication to the family and friends of fallen firefighters.
As a personal investment and commitment to this important and special project, Applied Advertising did what it does best — invest in every detail, every component, and every logistic necessary to yield a flawless end result. During the initiation phase we reviewed and evaluated an appropriate approach to ensure that each of the 3,147 names would appear prominently. We created a template in our computer software that took into account the curves, ledges, and valleys, of the bus and our own CEO, Jason Bergeron, traveled to Compton, California to personally install the artwork onto the bus — panel by panel.
This mobile memorial received overwhelming gratitude from family members, friends, and fellow firefighters. It helped to comfort them knowing that so many people care about them and their lost loved ones. Applied Advertising felt privileged to be a part of this important program.
